Erawan waterfalls in infrared

One of my main reasons for choosing to go and have a holiday at Kanchanaburi was that I had wanted to see the Erawan waterfalls for quite a while already. This place is a favourite among tourists, and it wasn’t difficult to see why. I can honestly say that this was one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been to, and I’m talking the kind of beauty that makes it difficult to believe one’s own eyes. The hike up to the highest tier of this 7-tiered waterfall is about 2km and is well worth it. It was a heavenly feeling to swim in one of the huge pools of cool water created by the waterfall on the way down. If you are a fan of waterfalls then you should definitely check this place out.

    • Thanks! Yes, the water looks quite otherworldly indeed.

I wanted to see how waterfalls would work in infrared photography because I haven’t really seen infrared shots of them and the results were interesting.

  3. Fantastic photographs.. I love the mood that infrared creates!
