The Dark Dimension

f/4.5 | 2 sec | ISO 100

One aspects of infrared photography that I truly enjoy and find fascinating is that it sort of gives you a glimpse into another reality (or dimension) that you cannot see with your bare eyes. Like with this photograph, it turned out to look rather ominous and threatening even when the scene itself looked bright and lively to my bare eyes at the time. This photograph has a very manipulated look even though I only slightly adjusted the colours and contrast in Photoshop. I like how the movements of the flags look with the 2 second shutter speed.
