Ancient Meets Modern pt.II

These photographs have such different architectural styles in them, kind of like in the first “Ancient meets modern” photograph. The tall, slightly over the top building is the Cathedral of Learning. It has most of the university’s offices, some places to eat, some classrooms, a bank branch,  etc.

  1. i’m curious when that cathedral of learning was built, and by whom? the university of pittsburgh, PA goes by the same name and has many similarities, although it would appear to be less modern than this one. you should give it a look

    • If I’m not mistaken it was built around the 90′s. The University is administered by the worldwide Catholic religious order Brothers of St. Gabriel so I believe that they were the ones who built it. There is atleast one Assumption University in the U.S. as well.

I gave the University of Pittsburgh’s building a look and it does indeed look very similar!
