Butterflies of Kaeng Krachan: Cruiser

Here is a male Cruiser Butterfly (Vindula dejone). This butterfly specie was one of the most common I saw at Kaeng Krachan National Park. Although my lens is far from a real macro lens, it’s still able to capture decent enough close-up shots. In retrospect, I should have used smaller apertures (perhaps f/13 or above) to get a deep enough depth of field for the entire butterfly. It’s just sometimes difficult to think of everything in the spur of the moment when you have a very interesting subject in front of you.

  2. Beautiful golden butterfly. Thanx for sharing.
